Private Marquis Henry

 

The background of this North Irish Horseman is not known at present.

Marquis Henry enlisted in the North Irish Horse on 3 September 1914 (No.1108 – later Corps of Hussars No.71235). He embarked for France with a reinforcement draft for A, C and D Squadrons on 2 June 1916.

Henry remained with the regiment throughout the war. On 28 April 1919 he was demobilised and transferred to Class Z, Army Reserve.
